The Company

DPD Trading Ltd was established in 1997 in Nicosia. Since then, the company has dynamically been involved in the field of foodstuff distribution (mainly milk products) in the local market. In a relatively short time after its establishment the company can boast a remarkable growth in terms of turnover, point of sales presence, storing space, sales force and fleet.

As a result the company has managed

  • to win a remarkable position among the big distribution companies in Cyprus by overtaking older competitors.
  • to establish itself as the fastest growing company in its field of activities.

Initially DPD's activities were limited to the distribution of milk products in various supermarkets and other retail outlets in the capital and the district of Nicosia. First clients were ZITA and AGRINO dairies and some other minor manufacturers.

Within a short period of time, through hard work and persistence, the company expanded its network to cover all the country. At the same time it expanded its trading activities by importing and distributing new brands from Greece and other European countries.

By setting up a dynamic distribution network consisting of expert and devoted salespeople and at the same time by investing on modern equipment DPD has managed to penetrate all the major supermarkets, and hundreds of groceries, kiosks, convenience stores, hotels and restaurants.

In 2006 the company moves to its own newly built offices and storehouses in Dali Industrial Area. With new, bigger storing spaces, advanced storing technology and the latest health & safety standards (HACCP and ISO22000) DPD sets sail for new horizons, new challenges and new perspectives.

DPD Trading Ltd is now equivalent to the traditional distribution networks of the island. This is why local manufacturers as well as international foodstuff marketers willing to penetrate the Cyprus market get in touch with DPD's people.

Yet, DPD does not rely on its success. On the contrary, the company and its people stretch their efforts to trading and distributing new products through new channels by using new innovative methods. Having in mind the consumers' increasing concern for healthier nutrition they focus their attention on products with competitive advantages on this respect.
