Our journey began with the rich artisan tradition of our local area, focused on producing nougat and almond paste — two cherished Calabrian specialties, recognized under the quality brand “Spe.cal” (Calabrian Specialties). In the 1990s, under the leadership of Sebastiano Polimeni, the company expanded its reach to large retailers, redefining the concept of product seasonality to meet the evolving needs of families and a dynamic market. In 2003, we launched our first almond milk, now part of the “Mand’Or” line, marking the beginning of our commitment to producing almond-based products while staying true to our core values.

Over time, Policom has grown to become a leader in the development of almond-based products. Since 2014, with the second generation of the Polimeni family joining the company, we’ve expanded our offerings organically, seizing new 

opportunities in the international market.
